The Blaine county spring livestock show has concluded and the show results are in. In total there were 32 exhibitors from Canton. 

On the first day of the show 20 kids from Canton showed their animals against the three other schools in Blaine County. On the second day of the show, 12 kids from Canton showed their steers and heifers. 

Amanda Schoonmaker won 1st place and breed champion with her Chester gilt, 1st place with commercial gilt, 3rd place with commercial gilt, and 2nd place with her crossbred barrow. She then won 2nd place with both of her doe goats, and with her sheep she won 1st place, Grand Champion Purebred Ewe, Reserve Supreme Ewe with her Hampshire ewe, and 2nd place and reserve breed champion with her Hampshire ewe. On the second day for the cattle show she won 1st place and breed champion with Lim-Flex heifer, 1st place and Grand Champion Commercial with commercial heifer, and 1st place, breed champion, and Grand Champion Market Steer with her Limousin. She was also the senior beef showman and senior sheep showman winner. 

Blair Dowell won 1st place and breed champion with her Hereford gilt, 3rd place with her York gilt, and 1st place and breed champion with her Chester barrow. On the second day for the cattle show she won 1st place, breed champion, and Grand British Breed with her Angus heifer. 

Maggie Clark won 2nd place and reserve breed champion with her berk gilt, and Macie Clark won 1st place and breed champion with her spot gilt. Kenadie Weber won 3rd place with her Hereford gilt, Lizzie Edwards won 1st place and breed champion with her Hampshire gilt, and Brooke Pope won 3rd place with both her commercial gilts. Mackenzie Day won 1st place with her Poland gilt, and Kelby Day won 3rd place with his spot gilt. Grady White won 5th place with his commercial gilt, and Corbin White won 4th place with his commercial gilt. Allie Smith won 2nd place with her commercial gilt, and Aubrey Cheney won 3rd place with her crossbred barrow. 

Emma Hoffman won 1st place and breed champion with her Hampshire wether, and she won 1st place and reserve breed champion with her Shorthorn Plus heifer. 

Hannah Hoffman won 1st place and reserve breed champion with her Dorset ewe. 

Brieley Scott won 3rd with her southdown ewe, and 1st place, breed champion, and Reserve Champion Purebred Ewe with her Dorset Advantage ewe, breed champion and reserve breed champion with both her Shrop ewes and 2nd place with her commercial ewe, 1st place and reserve breed champion. When it then came time to show her wethers, she won 1st place and reserve breed champion with her Southdown wether, 1st place, breed champion, and Reserve Grand Wether with her Shropshire wether, and 1st place and breed champion with her spec wether. She was also the junior sheep showman winner. 

Irilynn Jones won 2nd place with her Dorset Advantage ewe, 2nd place with her Southdown wether, and Nick Sullins won 1st and 2nd place with both his doe goats. 

Hayden Thompson won 1st place, breed champion and reserve breed champion with both his Horned Hereford heifers, 1st place and Reserve Champion Commercial heifer with his commercial heifer, and 1st place and breed champion with his Simmental prospect steer. 

Daylon McNabb won 1st place and breed champion with his Charolais heifer, 1st place and breed champion with his Charolais Composite heifer, and 1st place and breed champion with his Maintainer heifer. 

Marci Kopf won 2nd and 1st place with both her Simmental Influence heifers, and Kayli Kopf won 1st place with her commercial heifer. Kasidee Pope won 1st place and breed champion with her Hereford heifer, Cole Bickerstaff won 1st place with his commercial heifer, and Chase Dowell won 2nd place with his commercial heifer. Jesse Cantrell won 1st place and breed champion with his cross prospect steer, and Emmy Thompson won 1st place and breed champion with her Shorthorn prospect steer. 

All kids did their best and held their own against some tough competition. The Canton FFA Ag Chapter would also like to thank anyone who made a donation to the hard working exhibitors at the bonus auction that was held a day later.
