Deuce for the Win
The Skills USA State Automotive Technology contest took place on Tuesday. The contest consisted of a written test and an automotive test.
Kenneth (Deuce) Johnson won first place, The contest tests students’ general knowledge about all types of vehicles.
Bobby Watson, Deuce’s auto tech instructor, helped Deuce train for the contest. His instructor
helped him work on cars and look at different diagnostics.
“I was excited for the scholarships and the opportunities I got through this contest,” Johnson, senior, said.
His awards were new tools, a ten thousand dollar scholarship, and his manufacturing training license.
Karington is a sophomore reporter for The Claw. She took the class for the second year because the class is fun.
