FFA Students Win at State Fair

As the Oklahoma State Fair ends, the results are in for the livestock show.

The first day of the heifer show Marci Kopf placed 1st with her commercial. Kasidee Pope placed 1st and 2nd with her two commercial heifers. Hayden Thompson placed 1st with his commercial. Brooke Pope placed 4th with her commercial. Kayli Kopf placed 1st with her commercial. Emberly Thompson placed 2nd with her commercial. Amanda Schoonmaker placed 2nd with her commercial heifers and 1st with her prospect steer. On the second day Marci Kopf placed 2nd with her Simmental Influence heifer. 

Also on the first weekend of the show during the pig and sheep shows, Amanda Schoonmaker placed 8th with her commercial gilt, 1st with her Hamp whether, and 2nd and 3rd with her Hamp ewes. Brooke Pope placed 8th with her commercial gilt and 3rd with her Spot. Maggie Clark placed 7th with her Berk and 8th with her York. Aubrey Cheney placed 8th with her Duroc. 

Brieley Scott placed 7th with her commercial ewe, 7th with her cross whether, 1st and reserve champ with her Southdown ewe, and 2nd and reserve champ with her Shrop ewe.

Canton also won the Crops Sweepstakes with over 500 points.
