On Tuesday November 7, 2023 five Canton FCCLA members competed in Regional Star events.

“My favorite part of Star events was competing and winning 1st place,” Hannah Hoffman, 8th grade, said.

Preston Foster and Brooke Pope-Taylor competed in Professional Presentation. Hannah Hoffman competed in Repurpose/Redesign. Keelynn Schaumberg competed in cake decorating level 2. Emily McEachern competed in children’s literature. 

“Students Taking Action with Recognition(STAR) Events are competitive events in which members compete at the district, region, and state. Students are recognized for proficiency and achievement in individual or group projects,” Mrs Haub, FCCLA sponsor, said. 

Foster and Pope-Taylor both won 2nd place. Hoffman won 1st place. They will compete at the State Star events March 23 in Stillwater.
