This Year’s FFA Week

This year’s FFA week is taking place February 21-24, which means that FFA gets to take charge and show younger kids what it means to be part of the Canton FFA. One of the many things Canton FFA does is stick together.

“FFA week was planned by the chapter officers during a 45 minute meeting. They came up with all the dress up days, when what activities were going to  happen on which day, and the activities the week contains.” Shania Wood, Ag teacher, said.

Tuesday was the spring board into FFA week with a friendly dress up as gangster vs. country day. Wednesday is Hawaiian Day wear a Hawaiian shirts/Hawaiian accessories. Show Canton FFA spirit and wear a Hawaiian shirt, grass skirt, or an adorable lei. Friday is Blue and Gold day wear blue and gold to show Canton FFA some love. On top of wearing blue and gold bring anything but a backpack, which is exactly how it sounds. Bring anything but a backpack to school, and don’t forget to get creative with it. Finally on Friday we have the annual drive a tractor to school day, so farmers and friends bring tractors and give the elementary a show.

“Yes I love FFA week because we get to dress up and just have a fun week over all.” Emily McEachern, 8th grade Ag student, said.
