Cleaning to Remember

On Monday, September 11,  the Canton 5th and 6th-grade classes arrived at the Canton Lake at approximately 10:00 AM. The students were taking part in Celebrate Freedom Week, a week that is used to honor 9-11 victims and first responders. The students went to the Sandy Cove Area, Canadian Area, and also the Minnie Ha Ha Creek and Walking Trail. At these locations, students picked up trash and debris to make the areas look better. Teacher Dora Fuqua said,  “This project helps students see how they can be active in the community in making the world a better place.”
