The Historical History Teacher

Penny Heath, who was born and raised in Orange, California, graduated from high school in 1976. She likes to start her mornings off quietly and with coffee. Penny is a history teacher at Canton High School.

Penny became a history teacher because history is her favorite subject to teach. When asked what her favorite school lunch is and why she responded with, “ Hamburgers because they are hard to mess up.” When she has free time she likes to do anything outdoors.

Becoming a wife and a mother has changed her life the most. Within the next ten years Penny is looking forward to watching her grandkids, Braxton, Hayden, Emberly, and Lynnley, grow up.

Her favorite movie is Gone With The Wind.  With all her travels both with family and History Day activities, Mrs.Heath thinks that Paris is one of the most exotic places she has ever been to in her life.

The students at Canton High School love and respect Mrs.Heath. When asked what she liked about Mrs.Heath eighth grader Hopelin Hood said, “ I like that I get to call her Nana and she does not care. “
