The teachers in the elementary and Pre-K are collecting and donating toys to give to children. They choose children who have been recommended by the teachers, and it is kept completely anonymous about who the children are.

“The elementary teachers have been doing this long before I got here,” Mrs. Shepard, elementary secretary, said.

“We pick kids who may not have the best Christmas, and send them gifts to make their Christmas better,” Mrs. Shepard said.

They are sending gift baskets home to families also. In the gift baskets will be soap, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other necessities.

“I would like to send the kids a shirt, pants, socks, shoes, underwear, pajamas, and a toy,” Mrs. Jones, Pre-K teacher, said.

They are sending the gifts home next week.
