Canton Tigers Take Fourth in the Medford Tournament

On January 4 through the 6, the Canton Tigers boys team took part in the Medford Tournament. The Tigers first game was against the Aline-Cleo Cougars. The Tigers came out with a strong first half, and a final score of the game was 55 and 24.

The Tigers second game was against the Covington Douglas Wildcats. During the first quarter the Tigers and the Wildcats were tied, and then the Tigers fell behind a few points in the second and third quarter. The Tigers were not successful against the Wildcats scoring 34 to 46, however, Garret Nippert made the final point in the game, though the point was not counted.

In their final game in the tournament, the Tigers played against the Drummond Bulldogs for third place. During the first quarter the Tigers were in the lead, but during the second half the Tigers fell behind by a few points. At the end of the game, the Tigers were not successful at beating the Bulldogs. The final score of the game was 36 to 45.

Although the Tigers did not get first or second place, the Tigers played their best against all three teams in the tournament.
