Canton Tigers Defeat the Fargo Bulldogs In Districts

With only ten players, the Canton Tigers played against a triple school district Fargo, Gage, and Fort Supply. The Tigers have been practicing for weeks to play against Fargo.

In the beginning of the game the Tigers won the jump and played offense, however, they lost the ball and were scored on. The Tigers, however, would not let the Bulldogs win that easily. After being scored on, the Tigers made a three-pointer thanks to the help of Cooper Evans.

After the first quarter, the Tigers played defense to start the quarter. The Tigers stopped the Bulldogs from scoring but were unable to stop fouling. Also, Nate Bates scored three points for the Tigers.

After half-time, the Tigers came out ready to finish off the Bulldogs once and for all. The Tigers started off with the ball. The Tigers’ ran their offense for an opening to score. Once there was an opening the Tigers took it and scored or were fouled.

During the final quarter, the Bulldogs’ lost their two best players numbers 14 and 24 due to them fouling out. The Tigers kept playing their hearts out to score and stop the Bulldogs. In the final minutes of the game, both Deonte Murray and Garrett Nippert fouled out, but this did not keep the Tigers from playing offense and defense.

The final score of the game was Canton Tigers 52 and Fargo Bulldogs 50.
