On Monday evening, March 5, an awards banquet was held at the Vo-tech Center in Fairview.  Outstanding teams and individuals in the Western and Northern Conferences of Oklahoma Academic Bowl teams were recognized.  

Canton High School finished the high school season with eight wins and eight losses. The entire Canton team consisted of freshmen and sophomores.  The most outstanding player on each team was recognized, and Jared Cox was Canton’s Most Valuable Player. A trophy was given to the top five overall players.  This was determined by how many points an individual player scored in toss-up rounds over the entire course of the season.

Of all the players on all teams, Jared Cox was awarded one of the Top 5 Overall Players and received a trophy for his accomplishments.
