Freshman Class Trip

Freshman+Class+Trip

The freshman class won a class trip of their choice. The freshman class is going to Bricktown in Oklahoma City to walk around, play games and/or watch a movie, go to eat,  and shop. The freshman students who participated in bringing things, or helped with the banners to help us win this trip are the ones who get to go. The freshman class sponsors this year are coach Rich, Mrs. Dowell, and Mrs. Sanderson. This is the class of 2021 third consecutive year to win the spirit points.

The freshman class won 5 spirit points by collecting cases of water bottles to give to the firefighters in Canton, Eagle City, and Longdale for their community service project.

They also won the majority of the class yells Canton High school does at the pep rallies.

The class won 15 points for the three pep rallies they won class yells at.

At orange peel, the freshman won the chalk art contest against the seventh and eighth grade, to give them 5 additional points.

At Orange Peel the games included line race, water balloon toss, ultimate relay, and mystery race which was, making pyramids by stacking Dr. Pepper cans, then taking them down. The next person must then rebuild and take down the pyramid. The relay continues and the first group finished won. The mystery race earned class 3 points, placing second. In the line race, the freshman class won first place meaning 5 more points for them. The water balloon toss was always won by the freshman class gaining them 5 more points. In the ultimate relay, the freshman received 5 points for placing first. The mystery race brought the class 3 points, for second place.

The freshman won the Pink Out banner that Canton High School does yearly, bringing them 5 more points. The pink out fundraiser the freshman did was making and selling caramel apples at the pink out football game. The freshman won 5 points for winning the Pink Out fundraiser.

Later in the fall, everyone had to bring boxes of food or canned goods to block a door to win spirit points as a community service for the regional food bank. The first class to get all their food to block the door and stay up was the winner. Again the freshman class won 5 points for beating seventh and eighth grade at blocking a door.

For basketball homecoming each class had to make a banner to hang on the wall, the freshmen won 5 points for their banner.
