The Office

The+Office

At some point or another, most people find themselves comparing TV and movie characters to their friends and co-workers.  The staff of The Claw recently found itself pondering, “What if all of the teachers were the characters from the TV show The Office? Which characters remind us of which teachers?” We chose which character the teachers would be based on their personalities. The Office is a sitcom about the workers of Dunder-Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

If Mr. McPhail was a character from The Office he would be Michael Scott. Michael is the boss at  Dunder-Mifflin, but he wants to be everybody’s friend at the same time.

Mr. Hampton would be Toby Flenderson. Toby is in charge of human resources like Mr. Hampton is in charge of computers. Toby is strict but isn’t mean to his other workers.

Mrs. McVicker would be Pam Beesly. Pam is the receptionist for Dunder-Mifflin like Mrs. McVicker is the secretary for the high school. They are both nice and funny.

Mrs. Barney would be Meredith Palmer. Meredith is fun, carefree, but still gets her work done. Let’s face it, both Mrs. Barney and Meredith are loose cannons in their own way.

Mr. Barney would be Stanley Hudson. Mr. Barney and Stanley are both have laid back personalities but are useful when they are needed.

Mrs. Thompson would be Kelly Kapoor. Kelly is a very bubbly person like Mrs. Thompson.

Mr. Cox would be Dwight Schrute. Dwight is assistant to the regional manager at the Scranton branch of Dunder-Mifflin and Mr. Cox is the vice principal of Canton High School. Dwight is very peculiar about safety, and the Dunder-Mifflin rules and protocols like Mr. Cox.

Coach Smith would be Kevin Malone. Coach Smith and Kevin share the same sense of humor.

Mrs. Schiska would be Phyllis Vance. Phyllis, like Mrs. Schiska, is a very sweet lady who has worked for the company for a long time.

Mr. Mesis would be Creed Bratton. Creed, like Mr. Mesis, used to be a part of the military.
