Tigers Prepare During Off-Season

During the summer of 2018, the Canton football program put in work. They went to a football camp, did summer pride, and had three “two-a-day” practices.

The camp the Tigers went to was in Miami. At NEO (Northeastern Oklahoma) Camp the team did their first hitting of the season, and learned hands on from college coaches how to be better at whatever position they play.

At summer pride, both football and basketball players came to the weightroom to lift. During the summer of 2017 there was an average of about three kids showing up to lift. This summer there was an average of about sixteen kids showing up to lift.

Instead of doing actual two-a-days, the football team met in the weightroom at 4:00 PM, and practiced until 7:00 PM. From 7:00 to 7:45  was a break for the team. Then from 7:45 to 9:00 the team practiced again.

The Tigers have been doing all this work in preparation for their upcoming season. The Tigers kick off their season by playing Mountain View at Mountain View on Friday the 24th.
