Tigers Win Homecoming Game

Canton experiences first homecoming win since 2009

On Thursday, September 13, the Tigers played their homecoming game. After coronation the Tigers went back to the weight room. After praying, the Tigers hit the field to play their game against Kremlin.

The Tigers started off the game by kicking the ball to Kremlin. The Tigers defended Kremlin’s drive. During the Tiger’s drive they scored their first touchdown. Kremlin fought the whole first half, but they could not get past the Tiger’s defense. When the Tigers were not defending against Kremlin they were scoring touchdowns. The score at the end of the first half was the Tigers 38 and Kremlin 0.

“I was hyped and really excited at halftime. I just wanted the game to keep going like it was,” Nathan Janda, freshman, said.

The Tigers scored again in the third quarter. The Tigers still played effective defense during the fourth quarter, but early in the fourth quarter Kremlin managed to put the football in the endzone. The score at the end of the game was Canton 44 and Kremlin 8.

After the game both teams gathered in the middle of the field to pray together.
