Tigers Fall Short to Mooreland

On October 22nd, the Canton Tigers 3rd and 4th grade football team kicked off their final game at Mooreland. In the first quarter, the Tigers started on offense, pushing the ball through the Bearcats’ defense. The Tigers scored the first touchdown of the game, but were unable to get the following two-point conversion.

In the second quarter, the Tigers started on defense holding back the Bearcats, but the Tigers were beaten on a run by the Bearcats, scoring the second touchdown of the game. The Bearcats, however, were stopped by the Tigers’ defense from getting the following two-point conversion.

Throughout the remainder of the game, the Tigers and the Bearcats stayed tied with each other. In overtime, the Tigers ran the ball to get the final touchdown of the game, however a flag was called and the touchdown did not count. After a few more plays, the Bearcats scored the final touchdown of the game.

The final score of the game was Canton Tigers 6 and Mooreland Bearcats 12.
