Tigers Defeat The Arnett Wildcats

On December 10, the Canton Tigers played their last game in the Gayle Hajny Invitational Tournament. At the beginning of the game, the Tigers started on offense, winning the jump. The Tigers on offense passed the ball successfully, then passed the ball to Josh Edwards, who scored the first points of the game. On defense, the Tigers were able to steal the ball and make a fast-break giving the Tigers the lead.

In the second quarter, the Tigers started on defense. The Tigers on defense held off the Wildcats until the Wildcats got the ball in the paint and scored. The Tigers, on offense, ran their play, looking for an opening in the Wildcats’ defense.

After-half time, the Tigers started on offense, moving the ball until the guards were open for a three-point shot. On defense, the Tigers were able to steal the ball and run a fast-break, but the Tigers also fouled, giving up the Wildcats’ bonus. In the last second of the quarter, Cody Conrady made a buzzer shot, giving the Tigers lead.

In the fourth quarter, the Tigers started on offense. The Tigers mainly shot three-pointers due to the Wildcats posts players defending the paint. On defense, the Tigers held off the Wildcats from shooting, but were unable to stop the Wildcats from driving.

The final score of the game was Canton Tigers 58 and Arnett Wildcats 32. The Tigers’ next game will be on December 11, at Hydro-Eakly at 6:00.
