Canton Celebrates Senior Night

Yesterday, February 4th, 2019, was Senior Night for basketball, this is our chance to honor them.

Our first senior is Miss Jenny Delgado. Jenny is the 18-year-old daughter of Ramon and Maria Delgado. Jenny has been in basketball for four years, track for four years, cross country for two years, student council for three years, History Day for one year and cheer for three years.

Her honors include student and athlete of the month multiple times, class vice-president for three years, STUCO vice-president, multiple state yearbook awards, 2018 football homecoming queen, and a state champion history day project.

Jenny’s future plans include going to college to become a sports physical therapist. Our second senior is Mr. Deonte Murray.

Deonte is the 18-year-old son of Heather Murray. Deonte’s activities include basketball and track for four years, football, FCA and FFA for three years, FCCLA and STUCO for two years.

Deonte’s honors include student and athlete of the month multiple times, NHS, principal’s honor roll, all-district offensive end/wideout, 8 man all-star offensive end, and defensive back alternate.

Deonte’s plans are to play basketball at the collegiate level and he is still unsure of his major.

Our third senior is Ms. Haylee Nusz. Haylee is the 18-year-old daughter of David and Brooke Nusz. Haylee’s activities include FCCLA, cross-country, and FCA for one year, NHS for two years, and basketball and track for four years.

Her honors include athlete of the month, student of the month and NHS.

Haylee plans to attend UCO and major in criminology.

Our fourth senior is Ms. Keely Green. Keely is the daughter of Tony and Christy Green. Keely has been in FCCLA for four years, basketball for three years, Art for two years and FFA for two years.

Keely’s honors include athlete of the month, certification in healthcare, and state qualifier for track.

Keely’s future plans are to join the National Guard and to become a radiologist.

Our final senior is Ms. Roxey Linder. Roxey is the 18-year-old daughter of Bobby and Clara Denton. Roxey has played basketball for four years, ran track for four years, and ran cross-country for three years. She has been in STUCO and History Day for three years.

Roxey’s honors include Student Council President for two years, yearbook editor in chief two years, class president for four years, Honor Society for three years, athlete and student of the month multiple times, She has won multiple state yearbook awards and a state championship in History Day

Roxey’s future plans are to attend the University of Oklahoma for a bachelor’s degree and then attend med school.
