The Lady Tigers traveled to Hydro-Eakly to play the Geary Bison for the first round of Districts. At the beginning of the game, the Lady Bison won the jump. The Geary Lady Bison shot a two-pointer for the first points of the game.

Arianna Green drove to the basket and was fouled, and made one out of two free throws. Roxey Linder stole the ball and missed her layup, but made one out of two free throws. Hopelin Hood was first to foul, giving the Lady Bison an opportunity to hit free throws. Hood hurt her knee at the beginning of the first quarter, but walked it off, and started playing again a minute after she hurt it. The score at the end of the first quarter was Canton 7 and Geary 3.

In the second quarter, the Lady Tigers started off on offense. Linder scored a layup for the beginning of the second quarter. Green fouled while trying to get a rebound. Taylor Dowell stole the ball and passed it to Green who made a layup. Haylee Nusz scored a wide-open three, bringing the score at the end of the second quarter to Canton 26 and Geary 11.

At the beginning of the third quarter, Canton started off on offense. Nusz was first to score at the beginning of the third quarter. Jenny Delgado stole the ball and made it Canton’s ball. Dowell scored a wide-open three-pointer after the Lady Tigers passed the ball around the perimeter. Hood then stole the ball and passed it to Linder who scored a layup. The score at the end of the third quarter was Canton 42 and Geary 19.

In the final score, the Lady Tigers started off on offense. First to score was Dowell after driving to the basket and shooting a floater. Nusz fouled the Lady Bison. Linder chunked it down the court to Green sho made a layup. Hanna Noble drove to the basket and was fouled and missed both of her free throws. Green fouled out with minutes left of the fourth quarter. The final score was Canton 48 and Geary 27.
