On Friday, March 1, the Canton sophomores toured the Vo-Tech Center in Fairview, Oklahoma. They were put in groups with other schools and went to all of the different courses. At each course, the instructor explained the class in ten minutes.

After all of the students went through all of the courses, they chose two classes that they were interested in taking. They stayed in each class for twenty minutes and got to do activities that went along with the course.

“I recommend Vo-Tech because people who want to can get a head start with the courses they offer that the school doesn’t, and it is really fun,” Cade Humbargar, junior, said.

The Fairview Vo-Tech center offers seven different courses including health, bio-med, digital design, career and business, culinary, welding, and auto mechanics.

“I thought about going to Vo-Tech, but I talked to Mrs. Rauh and decided that I was going to do college classes instead and get help with stuff I needed to learn in college,” Jenny Delgado, senior, said.

“I want to take culinary because I enjoy cooking with Mrs. Haub, and I find it something that I want to learn more about,” Jayden Mosqueda, sophomore, said.
