STUCO Participates in GAC to Clean Up Canton

On Tuesday, April 2, students from Canton High School participated in the Great American Cleanup.

The cleanup is part of a campaign to get people to pick up trash around their neighborhoods to get their town, and Oklahoma, to look better. The cleanup consists of gathering a group of people to pick up trash, planning a date for the trash cleanup, and actually picking up the trash. The students at Canton were trying to do their part in keeping Oklahoma clean and beautiful by cleaning up trash at the park and taking down the four-month-old decorations off the local Christmas tree. Participating in the cleanup is a great way for kids to help their town look spiffy and beautiful.

The trash pickup was rescheduled twice because of weather conditions.

“The cleanup was really fun, and the park looks much better now,” Hunter Hood, freshman, said.
