On April 3, the Lyric Theatre came to Canton School to perform musical Oklahoma!. Music instructor, Alison Clark, entered a contest for the chance to have Lyric Theatre Oklahoma City perform Oklahoma! at the place of choice. With the little chance she had, she won.

Not only was it Oklahoma!, but it was an interactive version, which made it enjoyable for younger students. Lyric Theatre also quizzed the kids and whoever got the question right, won a Sonic coupon.

Curly even jumped into the crowd and taught someone how to two-step. They also pulled someone on-stage to act and watch a scene up close.

“I did like it because it was really funny. It felt good to win,” Savannah Ross, first grader, said.

“The short musical, Oklahoma that was performed for our entire school was very entertaining and informative. I love the way they interacted with the whole school, like two-stepping with kids,” Jadine Chervenka, seventh grader, said.
