Touring Oklahoma Classes Tour Sonic

On Thursday, April 18, Mrs. Haub and her Touring Oklahoma classes went to the Oklahoma City Zoo and Sonic’s National Headquarters.

The classes went to the zoo to explore and learn about the many different animals there. They fed birds that were said to be becoming extinct and saw a baby elephant playing with its mom.

“I liked seeing the birds,” Hanna Noble, sophomore, said.

At the Sonic Headquarters, the students had a tour of the four-story building in Bricktown. The Canton High School Students got to use their creativity to make their own drinks using different sodas and flavor syrup.

Students also learned different jobs people had working there and learned many facts about Sonic including that Sonic was founded in Oklahoma, and how many gallons of cherry limeade they sell each year.

“I was surprised to learn that Sonic workers don’t eat Sonic every day,” Jayden Mosqueda, sophomore, said.
