Learning to drive is a right of passage for every American teenager. It is a great experience for kids across the nation and helps us to become more responsible and mature. One thing that I find completely unnecessary, however, is parallel parking.

Kids are forced to learn how to parallel park for the sole purpose of taking their drivers test. I recently saw an Instagram post that was a photo of a boy who had just passed his drivers test. It was captioned, “Never going to parallel park ever again!” I don’t think I could have said it better myself.
