Tigers Stun Fairview Yellowjackets

For the Tigers’ fourth game of the season, the Tigers played their second home game, in the Gayle Hajny Tournament. At the start of the game, the Tigers lost the jump, starting on defense. The Tigers were able to steal the ball and make a lay-up. On offense, the Tigers ran their set plays, looking for openings in the Yellow Jackets’ defense.
In the second quarter, the Tigers started on offense. The Tigers ran their plays, however, the Tigers lost the ball to the Yellow Jackets who made a fast-break. On defense, the Tigers were able to stop the Yellow Jackets from driving to the basket, but were unable to stop the Yellow Jackets from shooting three-pointers. At the end of the first-half, the scores were Canton 25 and Fairview 25.
At the beginning of the second-half, the Tigers started on defense. On defense, the Tigers were able to stop the Yellow Jackets from scoring and managed to steal the ball. On offense, the Tigers tried running a play, however, the Tigers’ shot a three-pointer, but the shot was no good. The Tigers continued to shut down the Yellow Jackets on defense, with the Tigers scoring jump shots.
In the final quarter, the Tigers started on offense. The Tigers tried holding the ball, however, the Tigers would lose the ball to the Yellow Jackets. The Tigers continued to hold the ball, with a few good shots being made. On defense, the Yellow Jackets started driving trying to draw fouls, however, the Tigers managed to steal the ball. Throughout the final minutes of the game, the Tigers tried drawing fouls, with the calls being called in favor for the Tigers.
The final score of the game was the Canton Tigers 63 and the Fairview Yellow Jackets 50. The Tigers will play Calumet for their second game in the tournament, on Friday, December 13 at 8:30.
