Against All Odds

For the sixth game of the season, the Tigers played their final game in the Gayle Hajny Tournament against the Lomega Raiders. At the start of the game, the Tigers won the jump and made a fast-break on the Raiders. The Tigers scored the first points of the game. However, the Raiders also made a fast-break, tying the game in the first minute of the quarter. On defense, the Tigers stopped the Raiders from shooting three-pointers but were unable to stop the Raiders from making jump-shots.  

In the second quarter, the Raiders started with the ball, and the Tigers started on defense. On defense, the Tigers managed to slow down the Raiders, and were able to steal the ball. On offense, the Tigers moved the ball around shooting lay-ups and jump-shots. However, the Tigers were unable to make all their shots and were unable to rebound against the Raiders. The score at half-time was the Canton Tigers 21 and the Lomega Raiders 29.

After half-time, the Tigers started on defense. On defense, the Tigers were able to stop the Raiders from shooting and making passes to their post. The Tigers were also able to get the ball multiple times from the Raiders, making fast-breaks. On offense, the Tigers held the ball, trying to keep the ball from the Raiders, and running the clock. At the end of the third quarter, the score was Canton 32 and Lomega 41.

In the final quarter, the Tigers started with the ball. On offense, the Tigers moved the ball, passing the ball to open players. On defense, the Tigers kept stealing the ball from the Raiders, making fast-breaks. In the final minutes of the game, the Tigers were able to make lay-ups and jump-shots, giving them the lead against the Raiders.

The final score of the game was the Canton Tigers 53 and the Lomega Raiders 47. The Tigers placed third in the Gayle Hajny Tournament. The Tigers’ next game is Tuesday, December 17, against Hydro-Eakly.
