NASCAR is a sport where people watch drivers race cars around the track. It is really easy to understand because the first one to finish the last lap wins.

Popular NASCAR drivers people may have heard of are Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr, and Joey Logano.

NASCAR can be really intense if a fan has a favorite driver they want to win.

In the Indy 500, the drivers race 500 laps, which is 500 miles. The Daytona 500 is also a 500-mile race. 500 miles for a NASCAR driver will take about three to four hours.

“I watch NASCAR because it is entertaining and it is fun to watch them wreck,” Will Blood, freshman, said.

Some people don’t find it interesting, so they don’t watch it. There are some people who don’t care who wins or how fast the cars are going.

“I don’t like watching NASCAR because it is boring watching cars go around a track and doing nothing. The only cool thing is when they crash,” Hunter Hood, sophomore, said.
