Last week the Canton Tigers played the Ringwood Red Devils. The Tigers lost the game, but that did not stop some players from showing their talent. 

One player for the Canton Tigers, Johnie Burton, has something to say about the game. Johnie plays fullback and defensive end. 

“I feel like we could have done way better on offense and defense. We also did not have all of our players playing with us last week because of COVID, and some players were out because of injury. We did not have that much depth,” Johnie Burton, junior, said. 

The loss to Ringwood was the Tigers’ first loss of the season.

“Working as a team and making sure we do things the right way will help us improve for our next game,” Johnie Burton, junior, said.   

Burton and the rest of the Canton Tigers are looking for their fourth win of the season this week against Waurika.
