Canton 4H and FFA Show at Tulsa State Fair

Early in the morning on Wednesday, September 30, The Canton show team loaded up and headed to the Tulsa State Fair. Canton took every species except for goats. 

The first to show during the week was sheep. Luke Foster was the only FFA exhibitor to show sheep. He placed ninth with his Dorset ewe. 4H member Brieley Scott placed first with her yearling Southdown ewe. Scott also placed third with her Shropshire and fourth with her February Southdown ewe.

The cattle show started on Thursday. Jake Sinclair showed first and placed first with his Gelbvieh heifer. Next Weston Waldrep showed his Charolais and placed second. Waldrep also showed his Chi and placed fifth in his class. Emma Hoffman placed sixth with her Shorthorn Plus. The last to show was Blair Dowell, and she placed second with her Chi. 

On Friday, October 2, Amanda Schoonmaker placed first with her commercial heifer. Taylor Dowell also placed first later that day.
