Saturday night at the football field there was a Meet the Tigers event for the third grade through high school football players. People from Canton showed their support for the 2017 football players. Not only did parents and the community get to meet the new players, but they met the new coach also.

 A tailgate was available Saturday night with either a hot dog or a hamburger, a bag of chips, a cookie, and a drink for three dollars. The money that was raised from the tailgate went to purchase the new gatehouse.

The old gatehouse where faculty sold tickets was in a state of disrepair with a rotten floor, holes in the siding, and no lights.
