Who Can Screw up Potato Soup (This Chick)

In Mrs. Haub’s class, Kenzi Nix, Keylea Denton, and I all made potato soup.  I love potato soup, and I figured it was time to learn how to make some myself. That was a huge mistake as the soup was definitely not the best. It seemed that everything that could have gone wrong did and nothing came together. The cheese melted funny and made the soup grainy. Worst of all, I didn’t even get a spoon to eat it with, because Mrs. Haub did not have any plastic spoons left, and so I just got a plastic fork. It was the perfect weather to eat soup, too, so it was pretty disappointing when it turned out badly. Honestly, I have no idea how it turned out so bad because all that was in it was milk, cheese, potatoes, and butter. I figured I’d share the recipe with you so you never make the same mistake as me.

Ingredients

5 Potatoes

3 Cups of Milk

4 tablespoons of butter

A pinch of salt and pepper

However much cheese you want to use

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cover them with water in a large cooking pot.
  2. Cooked over high heat for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
  3. Once done cooking drain the potatoes mash them and add milk and butter and let cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add cheese, salt, and pepper, but add the cheese in slowly, or else it won’t melt right.
