Basketball season has officially started at Canton Public Schools. This year the Canton Lady Tigers have fifteen girls on the team. The head coach is David Baldwin and the assistant coach is Patrick Rich. 

This year’s team has three seniors Maddison Rauh, Marci Rhodes and Hopelin Hood.  The juniors are Paige Robison, Maelee Fergerson, Kiana Whiteman, Amanda Schoonmaker, and Sienna Bates. The team also has four sophomores, Aubrey Cheney, Alexa Delgado, Blair Dowell, and Alyse Whiteman. The freshmen are Imiyah Littlejohn, Aletheia McIntosh, and Stella Redhat.

Players are getting excited about the season.

“I’m really excited because I feel like we have potential to be a lot better than we have been, and I really like going to practice and seeing how hard we have been working,” Hopelin Hood, senior, said.The first game will be November 30, 2021, against Okeene at Okeene. 

The Lady Tigers first game will be December 3, 2021 against Ringwood on the new gym floor.
