Junior High Wins First Game

The Canton junior high played their first basketball games of the season on November 8, 2021, at Taloga.

To start off the game Ryleigh Chenney scored a three, then another two points just a few minutes later. Later on, Bella Swartwood scored a three assisted by Kamdyn Hulse. The team scored a few more points and ended the first quarter 13-0, with the Canton Lady Tigers ahead.

Starting the second quarter strong, Kamdyn Hulse scored two points and continued to score eight more points later on that quarter. Kenadi Webber scored two points. Allie Smith was then fouled and got one point from free throws, ending the half 28-0, Canton.

The team came out of half time scoring two points right off the bat. This scoring continued and gained two more points for the Tigers. At the end of the third quarter, the team was up by 32 points. Into the fourth quarter, the Taloga Panthers scored eight points while the Lady Tigers scored two points. That ended the game 34-8 with the Lady Tigers gaining a win.

 To start off the boys game Daylon McNabb scored two points to start the game. As the first quarter continued the Tigers did not gain anymore points while the Taloga Panthers scored four points. To start off the second quarter Xaiden Peters scored a three and Canton continued to score more points. At the end of the fourth quarter, the score was 32-12, Canton.

Both teams gained a win for the first game of the season.
