Murray Scores Three in Tiger Defeat

On Friday night, September 29, the Canton Tigers traveled to Waukomis to face off against the Waukomis Chiefs. The Chiefs were 2-2 and the Tigers 1-5. The game would be the Waukomis Chief’s homecoming game. This would also be the last game a pep bus would be taking students to.

The Chiefs started the game off with an onside kick. They recovered the onside kick on about their 40-yard line. On their first set of downs they scored.

In the first half, Waukomis had scored nearly 30 points while Canton had scored 6. Trevor Ross, a freshman at Canton scored the first touchdown. Deonte Murray, a junior at Canton scored the last three touchdowns.

At the end of the game, Waukomis was 48 and Canton was 26.

On Friday, October 6, the Tiger will be Playing the Laverne Tigers in Laverne.
