Lady Tigers Win Against the Wildcats

On December 14, the Lady Tigers traveled to Covington Douglas to play sixth regular season game of the season. At the beginning of the game Covington Douglas won the jump, starting the game with Canton on defense. The Wildcats scored the first points of the game. Canton was 0 and Covington Douglas was 6 at the end of the first quarter.  

In the second quarter, Covington Douglas started off on offense. Arianna Green scored the first two points of the game. The Lady Tigers started playing defense, trying to keep the Covington Douglas Wildcats from scoring. The score at the end of second quarter was Canton 8 and Covington Douglas 15.

After half-time, the Wildcats started off on offense. On offense the Wildcats scored the first points of third quarter. Roxey Linder went to drive in to score a layup, fell and hit her face on a Covington Douglas player’s knee and ended up with a broken nose. The score at the end of the quarter was Canton 14 and Covington Douglas was 23.  

In the final quarter, Canton started with the ball. Roxey Linder scored the first two points. The final score was Lady Tigers 34 and Covington Douglas 27.
