Start of a Winning Streak
On Friday September 15, the Tigers and their fans traveled to Mountain View to play their fourth game of the season. Both teams were eager for a win, because neither had secured one this year. The eighty mile drive did not stop any of the fans from coming. Mountain View received the opening kick and started strong with a long run, but Canton stopped them before they could make a touchdown.
On one of Canton’s first drives they scored a touchdown. Unfortunately Mountain View stopped them from making a two point conversion. Before the first half was over Canton scored another touchdown, and again, Mountain View stopped them from making an extra two points.
At halftime, the score was Canton 12 Mountain View 6.
Canton started the third quarter receiving the ball. Despite many penalties, Canton managed to make two more touchdowns. Mountain View scored one more touchdown before the game was over.
The final score was Canton 26 and Mountain View 18. The Tigers were very happy to get their first win since 2014. The players who rode the bus home were welcomed into town with a police escort.

I like this story because Canton lost their losing streak for the first time in 3 years.
