Hannah Evans: Along with the New Principal Comes New Students

Hannah Evans is a junior from Guymon, Oklahoma. She went to school in Elkhart, Kansas, before coming to Canton. Evans did not expect to move here and had no idea she was moving here until her mother took the job as the new high school principal.

At her previous school, she enjoyed her friend group and was upset when she had to leave. However, some of the things Evans enjoys the most about living in Canton is the lake and the weather. She enjoys hiking, fishing, playing piano, and art.

Evans is optimistic about the school year. She is looking forward to the opportunities that choir and art may offer.

“I’m hoping for a good art class that’ll be opportunistic for me, along with choir and I’m hoping math will be easy as well,” Evans said.

She has settled in pretty quickly since school has started.

“Moving here was kind of a hassle but after school started, it’s been pretty laid back,” Evans said.

The extracurricular activities she has decided on are STUCO, NHS, art club, and choir.
