The Canton cross country team traveled to Weatherford August 26th for their first meet of the season. The girls ran one mile and the boys raced two miles.  Six varsity high school girls competed, with LaShayla Green winning a medal. Canton High School was represented by three young men. Cooper Evans won a medal. Nine girls, grades sixth through eighth, competed in the middle school division. As a team, Canton placed fifth. It was a great start to the season, and the teams hope to keep improving throughout the season.
