In the early morning of Saturday August 25th, the Canton cross country teams headed to the school all dressed in their uniforms for the first meet of the season. The cross country meet was held at the Hennessey Golf Course.

The first race of the day was the HS boys. Running for the high school were Cooper Evans and Shy Cauble. Evans and Cauble placed 79th and 87th out of 144 boys.

After the boys ran it was  onto the HS girls. Lining up on the start line for the Canton HS girls were Hanna Noble, Hayleigh Noble, Madison Rauh, Arianna Green, Hopelin Hood, Brianna Redhat, and Keely Green.

The places were: Arianna Green 52nd, Hanna Noble 69th, Keely Green 80th, Madison Rauh 111th, Brianna Redhat 113th, Hopelin Hood 121st, and Hayleigh Noble 122nd. There was a total of 128 girls running in the HS race.

Running for Canton next were the junior high girls. The girls were Alyse Whiteman placing 24th, Sienna Bates 31st, Alexa Delgado 43rd, Blair Dowell 44th, Aubrey Cheney 45th, Jadine Chervenka 48th, Ariel Green 51st, Kassidee Pope 52nd, Lea Vowell 60th, and Kiana Whiteman 65th. There was a total of 99 junior high girls running.

The last race of the day was the elementary girls. Representing Canton Imiyah Littlejohn who placed 1st, Alexis Meat 4th, Stella Redhat 6th, Ryleigh Cheney 12th, Alethia Mcintosh 18th, Addisyn Smith 24th, Meghan Meat 25th, Nadia Luna 27th, Icey Sankey 28th, and Camden Lee 31st.

Canton’s team scores were, HS girls 15th, JH girls 6th, and elementary girls 2nd.
