On Friday, October 27, the Tigers traveled 150 miles to play Turpin for their ninth game of the season. The team, managers, and coaches left school at two-thirty and escorted out-of-town by the police chief. Many members of the community lined Main Street to send off the Tigers with signs and honking horns.

Canton received the kickoff to start the game.  Turpin started off the first quarter scoring a touchdown on their third play of the game. The Tigers made a touchdown soon after. On the first play, after the Tigers kicked the ball to Turpin, the Cardinals fumbled the ball. With that opportunity, the Tigers made a touchdown within their next few plays.

The Tigers had a rough second quarter only scoring one touchdown, while Turpin scored four touchdowns. The score at the end of the first half was Turpin 38 and Canton 20.

The Tigers fought hard but did not succeed in stopping Turpin in the third quarter. The Tigers fought with all they had in the last quarter of the game, but could not stop Turpin from scoring.

The final score of the game was Turpin 58 and Canton 20. After the game was over both teams gathered in the middle of the field and to pray together.
