Thursday, January 7, the Canton Tigers played their eleventh game of the season against Okeene in the Okeene Tournament. 

To begin the game, Connor Cox won the jump, leaving the Tigers to start their offense. Throughout the first quarter, the Tiger offense was able to score 9 points while the Whippets scored 5.

During the second quarter, the Tigers put 7 more points onto the board whereas the Whippers put up 8. This brought the score at halftime to Tigers 16 and Whippets 13.

Throughout the third quarter, the Tigers scored 6 more points and the Whippets scored 7.

In the last quarter of the game, the Tiger offense scored 12 more points and kept the Whippets points for the quarter down to 8. The ending score for the game was Tigers 34 and Whippets 28, this being the Tigers’ first win of the season.

The Tigers next game for the tournament is January 7 at 8:20 against Dover in the Okeene gym.
