Saturday, February 5, 2022, Canton After Prom is putting on a chili cook-off and bingo in the school cafeteria. The chili cook-off will take place at 5:30. 

The cost to the public is $5 to try five chili samples and vote on what chili is best. Students can pay another $5 to sample five other bowls. 

To enter the chili cook-off call, April Scott, at 580-886-5246, by Thursday, February 3, by 5 pm. The winner of the chili cook-off will win a $35 gift certificate to Foggy Bottoms and two steak dinners at Rez Restaurant in the Watonga Lucky Star Casino.

Bingo will take place at 6 pm and will go until all the prizes are gone. There will be a $500 game. Bingo cards per game will be $1, but the $500 game will be $5.  

“I think it is a solid idea and it sounds fun to do. Taste-testing is always welcome in my book, and I hope we can bring in some good money,” Luke Foster, junior, said.
