The Blue and Gold Jacket

The+Blue+and+Gold+Jacket

The Canton FFA has bought 15 new FFA jackets for this school year, and 6 were custom tailored for the perfect fit.

In 1933 the FFA adopted the corduroy FFA jacket most are familiar with. The jacket has ranged from shades of purple to current royal blue. The FFA jacket was created to be worn by the Fredericktown Band of the Fredericktown FFA Chapter, led  by Dr. Gus Lintner.

The most recent change to the FFA emblem was in 1989 when national convention delegates voted to change the words in the emblem from “Vocational Agriculture” to “Agricultural Education.

The newly purchased jackets will be worn by members attending National FFA convention, MFE, and official local activities.
