Students Raise Over $6,300 to Benefit Cancer Patient

The Canton and Seiling public schools had a fundraiser competition for 4 year old Vivian Whiteacre, a resident of Chester, who is undergoing cancer treatment. The school with the least amount of money had to wear the other school’s colors.

Each grade in Canton High School had its own fundraiser to support the fundraising. 

The 7th grade did a raffle for a $100 gas gift card which raised $700.

The 8th grade is selling cookies and they have not finished their fundraiser yet..

The freshmen class sold raffle tickets for a meat basket which raised $500.90.

The sophomore class did a 50/50 raffle which raised $155. 

The junior class sold t-shirts which raised $1,407, and the senior class passed a bucket at a football game which raised $1,398.

The total that was raised was $6,342.
