Meet the Junior High Academic Team

As the junior high academic team starts competing, it is time to meet its members.

Preston Foster is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years.  He joined the team with a goal in mind.

“So I could get a scholarship and because I like the meetings and my favorite thing is winning,” Foster, 8th Grader, said.

Bridger Hursh is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years. He joined because it sounded fun.

 “It seems like it would be fun and my favorite thing is winning,” Hursh, 8th Grader, said.

Allie Smith is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years. She joined the team to get smarter. 

“It makes me smarter and my favorite thing is missing school,” Smith, 8th Grader, said.

Harper Jones is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years. She joined the team to learn new things. 

“I think it gives me a better chance to learn new things, and I like getting to miss school,” Jones, 8th Grader, said.

Brooklyn Green is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years. She joined to learn some new things.

“I joined it because it got me out of school and it gives me a better opportunity for learning new things I wouldn’t be introduced to in normal school,” Green, 8th Grader, said.

Kenadi Weber is an 8th grader and has been on the academic team for two years. She joined the team for the challenge. 

 “I like the challenge because I’m competitive and I enjoy going to meets and finding out new things,” Weber, 8th Grader, said.

Bailee Grigsby is a 7th grader and has been on the academic team for one year. She joined the team because she is smart. 

“I joined the academic team because I am smart, and my favorite thing to do is sleep during the car rides,” Grigsby, 7th grader, said.

Caden Smith is a 7th grader and has been on the academic team for one year. She joined because it sounded fun.

 “Because it sounded fun and my favorite thing is getting out of school,” Smith, 7th grader, said.

Nicole Foxworthy is a 7th grader and has been on the academic team for one year. She joined because she likes her opinion.
