The Oklahoma State Fair started on September 14 and ran through September 24. The Canton Show Team showed all sorts of things including sheep, goats, cattle, and hogs. The highlight of the show came when Josh Edwards won a class with his Hampshire hog. There were various other second and third places from Canton.

For the show ring, the exhibitors wash their animals multiple times, then walk them through the arena in front of a judge who looks for things such as how well the animals can walk, their muscle tone, size of bone, skeletal width, and how well the exhibitor handles the animal.
