Be Drug Free

On October 25th, for Red Ribbon week, the Canton chief of police, Robert Murray, and his drug dog visited Canton Elementary school to speak to the students about not doing drugs. The children were happy to see the dog and asked many questions about him.

The most important thing the students couldn’t do was touch him. The dog is from the Netherlands and only understands Dutch and German. He was imprinted before he was certified and matched with a handler. Before he was sent here, he was doing the exact same job in Chicago, Illinois.

This isn’t a normal dog people can have as a pet, he is a hard-working dog who can smell two different scents at the same time.
