On November 30th, Canton FCCLA students traveled to Woodward to compete in the Star Event District Competition.

The students who competed in the competition were Ally Nix, Courtney Thompson, Samantha McEachern, Jayden Mosqueda, Alyssa Sutton, and Alicia Luna.

Courtney Thompson and Ally Nix won first place in the Life Event Planning category. Jayden Mosqueda won first place in the Cupcake Decorating category. Alyssa Sutton took the New Member’s FACS Test and won second place. Alicia Luna won third place in the Children’s Literature category. 

“The importance of Star Events is students taking action for recognition, for individual achievement and to be active in FCCLA, we compete in Star Events,” Mrs. Haub said.

Thompson, Nix and Mosqueda head to state competition in February.
