Canton Junior High Boys Lose Against the Geary Bison

On January 25, the Canton Tigers played against the Geary Bison. The Tigers were not assisted by any freshmen for this game.

At the beginning of the game, the Tigers were unable to start with the ball, losing the jump. The Tigers defense held the Bison from scoring, but after a few minutes, the Bison were able to start off with three points. The Tigers on offense were able to get two points, but the Bison kept ahead after a Canton score.

In the beginning of second quarter, the Tigers started off with the ball. The Tigers were able to run their offensive play, but a bad pass was thrown and a Bison player picked it off and made a layup. After having the ball stolen a few more times, the Tigers started to dribble in and draw fouls. Jacob Rutz was fouled shot two for two.

After halftime, the Tigers started off on defense, however, the Bison were still able to get through the Tigers defense. After starting off in defense and getting scored on, the Tigers started to draw more fouls on their players. Hudson Scott was able to make a three-pointer and a layup. Hudson was fouled and made the following shot.

During the final quarter, the Tigers were unable to score, but on defense, the Tigers were being scored on every minute. During the final minutes of the quarter, the starters were subbed out and the second group was in. The second team tried their best to stop the Bison from scoring, but they could not prevail.

The final score of the game was Canton Tigers 18 and Geary Bison 45.
