Canton High School Boys Win Against Sharon-Mutual During Homecoming

On January 26, the Canton Tigers played against the Sharon-Mutual Trojans. This week the Tigers have been practicing hard to win against the Trojans for homecoming.

At the beginning of the game, the Tigers were able to start with the jump. However, the Trojans were able to get the ball and get the starting two points. The Tigers, however, were not going to let the Trojans beat them that easily.

In the second quarter, the Tigers started off with the ball and were able to obtain some points. The Tigers’ defense held against the attacking Trojans, but the Trojans were able to score on the Tigers a few times.

After halftime, the Tigers started out in defense. The Tigers played hard to win the first three minutes of third quarter. The Tigers offense was able to rack up points having most of the Trojans almost fouling out in third.

In the final quarter, the Tigers played great defense. Clayson Scott fouled out, but the Tigers would not make it easy for the Trojans on offense or defense. On offense, the Tigers ran a continuous play to waste time and keep the Trojans from catching up.

The final score of the game was Canton Tigers 69 and Sharon-Mutual 51.
